Syria receives Russian missiles and opposes foreign funding to the rebels

The confirmation from Assad, the delivery of a first batch of Russian missiles to the Syrian regime, raises the tension in the Middle East region. Israel in recent days had explicitly stated that he would not tolerate the presence of these devices anti aircraft on Syrian soil, so the response of Tel Aviv should not be made to wait, partly because the Syrian president has publicly confirmed the alliance between his country and the Islamic militia Hezbollah, accentuating the distance from the country of Israel. Until now Tel Aviv, although he had conducted their military operations on Syrian territory, he had never spoken against Damascus but only against the formation fundamentalist threat from southern Lebanon the Jewish state. The alliance between Hezbollah and Syria was a fact, but it had never been admitted so clearly by the Syrian leader, now the situation changes and Israel, to protect against degeneration of the ongoing conflict, can justify his actions also possible against Damascus as an ally of Hezbollah. Assad's statement, which occurs at the time of delivery of Russian missiles, confirmed the truth of the availability of new weaponry in optical anti-Israel: from this moment the heavens will be protected from the incursions of the Syrian military aircraft to Tel Aviv from sophisticated systems sent from Moscow. The synchrony between receipt of the shipment of missiles and public admission of the alliance with Hezbollah may mean that the Assad regime is ready to undertake a conflict with Israel and at the same time facilitate the transfer of arms to southern Lebanon. This evolution, behind which is hard not to see the blessing of Tehran, is likely the occurrence of the dreaded possibility of enlargement of the Syrian War across the sensitive region of the Middle East. These are the effects which the military is on the brink, but Assad seeks to engage in the collision, even at the political level also other foreign entities, represented by the countries of Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, in particular, the two countries of the Persian Gulf are liable to have placed on the ground over a hundred thousand Syrian foreign fighters sided with the rebels. Among the objectives of Assad, there are also loans, which are considered significant, coming just from Riyadh and Doha in favor of the forces opposed to the regime. According to analysts, the amount of these loans, however, would be difficult to quantify, even if we are talking about three billion dollars from Qatar and about twice Saudi Arabia, on the field have not seen advanced weapons, but rather weapons traditional and even dating back to the seventies and eighties of the last century. Probably the biggest destination of this money was to pay salaries fighters who help the rebels. If this hypothesis were true, as it seems the performance of the conflict, would emerge the willingness of the countries Saudis not to force too pending the final outcome of some decisive event. It is a fact the availability of liquidity to miss the Gulf monarchies, then the aid granted up to now has the meaning of presence in view of the conflict within Islam between Shiites and Sunnis. Another factor that could curb the action of Saudi Arabia and Qatar could be represented by the action USA, who would not like that Syria might pass from a dictatorship to a confessional state, although allied with the Gulf countries, along the lines of what happened to the forms of government that were strengthened after the Arab Spring. In fact, Syria is a completely different from Tunisia, Libya and Egypt, because it is at the center of geostrategic interests of the boundaries of Israel, the alliance with Iran and the same ambitions to overthrow the Sunni Shiite groups in power. It is, therefore, a panorama more complex and difficult to decipher, even where the Russian role, represents a variable must not be neglected.
