Li Keqiang's visit to India

The visit to India by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, is particularly important at a time of precarious balance between the two countries. Traditionally opponents on multiple fronts, China and India, this appointment bilaterally with the ever-looming danger of a conflict between the two states for the sake of the border. Recently Chinese soldiers have established a base camp, before officially denied and then justified with reasons not well understood scientific exploration, in Indian territory, in the region of Ladakh. It was not the first violation of Indian territory by the Chinese and every occasion, although not publicized by the media, is potentially an opportunity for a comparison between two unfriendly nations that are also nuclear powers. In addition to these tensions, directly concerning Beijing and New Delhi, there is the aspect of international relations to make warm the temperature in the mutual relations: India has approached the United States, which act in this alliance with a view to containing Chinese , worrying China for regional balance had been created, but the Indians did not have equally enjoyed the increasingly close relationship between Pakistan, the historic enemy of India and China, which has been able to fit in the crisis between Islamabad and Washington in a sudden. Beijing justifies this alliance as an expansion of production and sales, in a nation that can provide labor at reasonable prices and can prove to be a potentially attractive market, these justifications are true, but are only part of the reasoning of China, which with this alliance succeeds in striking in one fell swoop two great rivals USA and India. Both countries are following a policy of massive investment in armaments and armed forces, which are seen as a signal to launch the world to complement the industrial and commercial power, to carve out a clearly defined role and increasingly important role on the international stage, but this increased power also means a better balance in military strength of the two states, a factor of safety concern for China, which has always been ahead in the field of war. Beijing fears the influence of India on its border territories now held under tension for independence, such as Tibet and Xinjiang. But despite all these contrasts the Chinese intention is to develop an Asia increasingly important role in global economic growth and the relationship between the two countries, which are already part of the BRICS, can not be separated from a vision that goes beyond the mutual concerns . In fact, according to observers the main theme of the visit of the Chinese president will be the bilateral trade, which in the 2000-2011 period has passed € 2.25 billion to over 56 billion euro, despite a decrease of 10% occurred in 2012 due exclusively economic reasons associated with the global crisis and not for the strained relations between the two states. Both countries have agreed to pursue the goal of making Asia the world's economic locomotive, through their patterns of development, but this climate, which seems relaxed, may be subject to change as a result of the visit that Li Keqiang will immediately after the Indian: the greeting to the new head of the government of Pakistan.
