The prestige of Obama cracked by the story of espionage allies

The figure of U.S. President Obama has always been received calmly , almost completely unanimous on the European continent . After years of Bush Jr. , a president underappreciated , if not by right-wing parties , due to its propensity to war and behaviors that reflected the stereotype of the cowboy , the arrival of more international Obama had boosted confidence in a new U.S. version , both domestically , and internationally . The electoral programs , had kindled a hope of a new dimension of world order , based on greater sharing of choices , both among allies, who between declared enemies or potential . In fact , despite some setbacks , the foreign policy of the first black president in U.S. history , has suffered a sharp reversal from that of his predecessor. While inside the fence of the obligations he had inherited from the previous administration , Obama is concerned immediately to set a less arrogant American attitude , almost to the second floor in the many historic occasions that have occurred . Not that the United States has withdrawn from international disputes , but have assumed a tone, somewhat milder , which was intended to give a different picture from what has always been identified imperialism stars and stripes . Even more frequent use of diplomacy , also used in a manner not always through dialogue, as in the repeated occasions of sanctions against Iran and other countries , has served to prevent the use of weapons , a behavior fully in line with the design of international policy desired by Obama. In short, a behavior that has to be admitted , allowed Obama to take a profile internationally , as in all American presidents failed. With the life of interceptions , but everything seems to change , the prestige of the American president is likely to be severely compromised for a fact extremely unfair, compounded by the practical amateurism , which has allowed the discovery . The situation now Obama is therefore not the best: although the White House flaunts a detached attitude , practically not commenting on the recent events , the American President is in the midst of two situations not entirely positive . On the domestic side American society seems willing to forgive what he considers a necessity to protect their country, rather what he is accused Obama of failing to defend the actions of government agencies enough , that with their methods , although outside the international law, would have allowed a preventive action against terrorism. This line of thought is adopted mostly by conservatives , but finds several admirers even among Democrats, who believe the intercepts to heads of state allies a necessary evil to preserve national security. Obama, clearly can not assume the defense of publicly interceptions to friendly countries and can not even take credit , provided that they had been aware , conversely if it was not aware of the survey procedures of government agencies , its role would be bypassed, citing a lack of personality and incomplete exercise of the power they deserve. But if the home front has elements of strong opposition , the situation seems to be even worse at the international level . The blatant violation of international law and the inappropriateness of violating its own against countries historically allied forces Obama to try to be foreign as possible to each other. Of course, one solution would be to shift the blame to the excess zeal with which the NSA could have acted without the backing of the greater charge of the country , but this may configure a system lacking in and for global security. This impression could be authorized to take on new behaviors in relations with the United States and this would have represented an undeniable defeat for setting the international politics of Obama. For the American president a way out could be partially represented by the public presentation of the results actually achieved in terms of counter-terrorism prevention , thanks to which they had saved the European objectives . Perhaps this would violate state secrets , but it could mitigate the anger that is going through the European registries .
