In Morocco internal tensions and international

The statements by the King of Morocco Mohammed VI , who stressed that his country will not accept lectures on human rights, emphasize that the question of Western Sahara purchases more and more central role in the problem of the southern shores of the Mediterranean, also linked to the developments of the struggle terrorism and control of migration to Europe. Behind the statements of the Moroccan monarch , in fact, there is the fear of a break-up of the territorial integrity of the country , which could come by the Western powers and the UN , with the attempt to start the creation of a nation Tuareg , for counter the alliance of nomadic peoples with Al Qaeda , a connection that is intensifying precisely because of common goals. To this end, the intentions of Mohammed VI to increase the action of the government in Rabat , for a greater development of the Saharan territories , both in economic terms , that of political autonomy , are part of its strategy to combat that would be perpetrated by Western powers. The recognized need for reforms in the territory of the Sahara is an admission of a state of emergency , in which the apparatus Moroccan do not like outside interference. The means by which this is expressed is not liking the interference through the alleged infringement of human rights, especially if poured strong argument against those international actors , who are responsible for or to which the deputy would exercise the application and control of the same. According to the King of Morocco , the country would be the subject of a smear campaign which would be favored organizations hostile to the legitimate government. One of the effects of combat is certainly a development of a popular rebellion that can groped to overthrow the monarchy in charge, who tried with fortunes greater than what is practiced in neighboring states , reforms of greater openness for the population. The fear of an uprising behind which there would be radical fundamentalist movements , can be seen clearly in the statements of the Moroccan monarch , but at the same time , it is feared that this possible revolt may come from the consequences of their actions contrary to these possibilities given in the field by the Western powers. This picture seems to appear Morocco surrounded by dangers whose provenance is of the opposite type , but that would cause even the dissolution of a part of its territory. However, if Morocco does not want to deal with these emergencies alone , must seek a greater dialogue , especially with international actors , first of all the UN, to develop joint projects, especially in the field of economic aid , and medical school , to be undertaken in remote areas of the Sahara and the Sahel , where they can be the biggest problems with terrorism. Only through the fielding of these actions , you can counter the fundamentalist danger , without a massive use of the armed forces , so as not to create doubts about the effective implementation of human rights. The issue of regulating the flow of migrants departing from the Moroccan coast , should be agreed with international organizations and the countries of the northern shore of the Mediterranean , which are the goals of the destinations. For Morocco more than choosing attitudes of closure , should undertake more international relations, which enable it to act as a reliable entity in the dialectic Mediterranean world before and then . Of course the problem of the instincts of independence of peoples Tuareg is a perennial problem , which can not be solved in a short time , however, an effective policy autonomy could find openings favorable able to decrease a voltage , which is likely to take from local to larger cumbersome due to the presence of Al Qaeda , which could justify by the West , taking measures unwelcome in Rabat .
