In China, the growing problem of ethnic conflict
China suffers re- ethnic tensions , which , once again , have occurred in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region , an area that is home to the Muslim minority in western China . Yet another revolt showed again a tragic outcome , at least 14 victims , caused by the repression of the police, which reported two more deaths. This is yet another signal to Beijing, the difficulty of being able to manage the local instances of minorities , especially those that differ by social and religious values , the single line of the Communist Party . This last episode, following the terrorist attack , which occurred in the Forbidden City , which claimed the lives of five people and the wounding of forty high , genuine violation took place in the heart of Chinese power , an unprecedented event which has been an absolute novelty highly controlled by the Chinese state . The attitude of the central government has always been to discourage political autonomy of minorities, which once granted , could lead to the dissolution of the Chinese state from its current form. If s may include the setting of Beijing, a topic difficult to understand and above all acceptance, seems less justified the choice of a rigid , almost extreme , which does not allow any dialogue between the parties. The policy of the central government in the regions inhabited by ethnic minorities is essentially composed of two modes, which go together : on the one hand the introduction of massive investment , especially directed to the increase of infrastructure, while on the other hand favors a large immigration of Chinese, loyal to the regime , from other parts of the country, in order to alter the social composition of the area. These immigrations are favored by substantial economic aid in the form of well -paid jobs and provide solutions in terms of housing, that is , for some parts of the country, a constant emergency . Earning the favor of these new inhabitants , Beijing aims to break the united front that unites the local ethnic groups , but doing so often exacerbates minds, even on the ground , the application of legislation that seeks to restrict the uses and customs , and even religious beliefs , to impose lifestyles Chinese , seeking to standardize the behavior in order to stifle local traditions. This setting provides that if the new costumes are not acceptable to the indigenous population , creating demonstrations of disapproval, intervene coercive means to leave no room for reasons of dissent. In Tibet were chosen practice non-violence, involving the suicide of the monks practiced to elicit the greatest indignation in the world, especially in the West , while in Xinjiang seems to be a more structured organization to respond to the violent intentions of China. The attack in the forbidden city bears witness to a true quantum leap , even military , to try to respond to the close of Beijing. The additional measures that the Chinese government has taken in respect of the autonomous region of strong gift restriction information and the prohibition of entry for the foreign press . Officially, China says it has granted many liberties with the Uighurs , but human rights organizations and formations in exile speak of continued violation of civil rights and repression continued , practiced with violence by the police. The determination of China is also due to the necessity of control of Xinjiang , due to the abundance of raw materials, such as gas , present in the region , that the granting of some form of political autonomy it could decrease the total willingness to Beijing. The problem of public order remains central government 's own admission of the media , who speak more than 190 terrorist attacks in Xinjiang , carried out by bombers mostly under thirty years old and , therefore , bear witness to a growing discomfort among young people of the region, working in small groups or individually , making very difficult the task of preventing and forcing Beijing to a great effort for increasing economic and military guard the territory .
