In Lima the climate conference

The problem of global warming is the focus of the debate that is taking place in Lima, whose aim is to reach a multilateral agreement that knows counter in a concrete way the steady increase of global warming. As we have already established, the temperature is increased by several degrees as a result of the greenhouse effect caused by the increase of the use of fossil fuels, due to industrialization increasingly thrust of countries with large populations, such as China, India and Brazil . But an important aspect that is becoming increasingly important is constituted by the low cost of oil, caused both by economic reasons, but also policy and new technologies developed by the US, which allowed the extraction of crude oil from the rocks . The resistances of the countries, which owe their strong growth to industrialization, burning huge amounts of fossil fuel, are understandable if you look through the lens of economic gain and, most of the short and medium term. But if you want to have a vision with a broader spectrum, the long and very long term, the damage caused by pollution may represent a cost, certainly now be postponed, but only in part, is unsustainable in terms of financial and social. Moreover, the Chinese cities are already experiencing the harmful effects of smog, which resulted in high social costs in the medical field and, consequently, in the working one, triggering a spiral of consequences that has alarmed the country's leaders. The problem is real, especially when viewed on a global scale, because it can cause a series of highly destabilizing events, both on the physical plane of the planet, through natural disasters, often caused by rising waters, and on that supply, causing famines and drought. These phenomena are to contribute substantially to migration, more and more massive, from poor countries, which already strongly influence the ongoing conflicts in the world. As we understand the problem of raising the temperature from meteorological problem has become social emergency with implications that can trigger wars and unstable equilibrium states strongly detrimental to global peace. In the Peruvian capital have registered positive encounters, who reported as the climate issue is present on the agendas of many governments, where before there was due importance. The objective remains to reach an agreement, providing for the commitment of governments to lower greenhouse gas emissions. The problem is the impact that these reductions will have as diminishing effect on the gross domestic product of each individual state. The alternative is to find cleaner fuels that are able to maintain almost unchanged the level of productivity. The time period over which you want to intervene must be relatively short to have any appreciable effect, however, the period over which seem to focus concerns as the limit to 2025 or 2030, it is 10 or 15 years in which further warming could be a point of no return. For this reason the conference in Lima to be a starting point to continue negotiations even in 2015, where you will have to get an appointment in Paris with clear agreements, not to lose valuable time. It is to draft a document that contains a framework that provides for the gradual reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, can contain substantially increasing temperatures; this should be additional control modes and certain sanctions safe for those who do not respect the agreements. Just so we could claim to have undertaken a serious fight against rising global temperatures.
