The challenge of terrorism against the West

The terrorist act against the satirical newspaper Parisian appears as the consequence of an underestimation of the trends, more and more pressures, which are taking place in some Islamic circles in Europe. The Middle East conflict has favored an approach to the more extremist Islamic positions by young Arab born in Europe, but not only, that often, thanks to the economic crisis, have not found an appropriate integration to Western societies. The preaching of the most fundamentalist clergy, fostered by the collective Muslim, provided by the exploits and the reasons, however questionable, the fighters, before Al Qaeda and then the Islamic state, has been a source of attraction for a lever warriors to acquire and deploy on the battlefields of the Middle East, as well as cells to be used within the same West. Especially the methods used by the caliphate to take hold on the younger generations: abundant use of the new means of mass communication, the same that had been used in the Arab Spring, have favored a progressive approach to the more radical Islamic tendencies, who were able to gather the discomforts , social exclusion and provide a high sense of ownership of large sectors of the younger parts, second or third generation, the social fabric of Arab origin. Failure to adequately control for this recruitment, that goes on in massive form the beginning of the war in Syria is due to an insufficient understanding of the initial problem, which has not allowed a proper coordinated between European police, a side effect of the failure of political union old continent. Of course these reasons are practical and only the last in order of time, the deeper reasons dating further back, with the lack of adequate social inclusion policies, which favored a general malaise, which favored the culture medium conducive to 'more radical Islamism. However, the situation appears to assume the characteristics of urgency, take only actions of social order is necessary but not sufficient. The return from the war zones of trained fighters, as we have proven the perpetrators of Paris, requires the research and application of safety standards designed to control and prevent other people who may emulate such acts in the heart of the countries Western. Appears necessary, immediate sharing of data related to the combatants in possession of individual countries, to be shared at EU level, as action in preparation for the creation of a force interstate that is intended to prevent acts of Islamic terrorism. At the same time it must be a full and convinced involvement of Islamic communities more moderate, that still seem too shy to condemn acts of violence committed in the name of religion. This must be at the center of an action that empowers Islamic centers, also because of prevention against hostile acts that would result from the forces most opposed to peaceful multiethnic coexistence within Western societies. From the point of view of the terrorist act in itself, the claim of Al Qaeda could indicate a resurgence of Bin Laden, when supplanted by the Caliphate in the scale of appreciation of the extremists. Al Qaeda has suffered significant losses and has not been able to exert a broad vision as the Islamic state, which is close to building a state form marked by Jihad. This element has been an undoubted source of success, which has resulted in substantial funding and enrollments, which have made it world supremacy in the Islamic fundamentalist. Although the Caliphate arises essentially from Al Qaeda, there are differences between the two movements, though certainly not accentuated. However the intention of Al Qaeda is to take the leadership position in the galaxy fundamentalist. With this in mind a war could erupt at a distance based on the clamor of the terrorist acts, a kind of competition based on violence and the importance of the objective, where the geographic location in the western world would represent a value of success. Al Qaeda now, according to analysts, has fewer resources, but can rely on the extensive experience of running a small cell, able to take action quickly to hit a target symbolic, as was the preparation of the Paris newspaper, repeatedly accused of defamation towards Allah and Muhammad. If the centers of state power appear less reachable goals, hit targets similar to that of Paris and also infrastructure, to generate a climate of terror in Western societies is certainly less complicated and more functional to the current capacity of Al Qaeda; the difficulty from now on will stop the possible protagonists of this strategy unpredictable, organizing challenge in the challenge, almost from scratch and urgently interstate and supranational bodies such as to overcome the mutual distrust.
