With a large majority vote, 220 deputies out of 290, the Iranian parliament approved a bill that requires the executive to resume all nuclear activities in case of new sanctions by the US. The will of the parliament in Tehran is to prevent the tightening or the adoption of new sanctions by Washington, the failure to reach agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue. The adoption of new sanctions, would constitute a serious obstacle to the conclusion of the Iranian nuclear program, now stalled; the agreement signed in Geneva in November 2013 had eliminated some of the economic sanctions, which had put the country of Iran in serious economic difficulty, in exchange of the stop to the research that allowed to progress in their nuclear program. According to Iran's eventual decision to adopt new sanctions would be contrary to the signed in Geneva and would give Iran the right to resume research and experiments to advance their nuclear programs. The determination of the Iranian parliament follows the will of the Banking Committee of the US Senate, which approved, as a preventive measure, a proposed new sanctions against Tehran if negotiations do not have the substantial developments. The situation about the current state of the current negotiations between Iran and the group of 5 + 1 (US, Russia, China, France, UK and Germany) is in a phase of suspension pending the meeting scheduled for the end March, where you should find a political agreement quote able to fix the details that can reach the final conclusion by July. The Commission's decision of the Senate is likely to become a diplomatic incident certainly not pleasing to Obama, especially in the current phase that presents the international scenario. Certainly the fact that the Republicans have a majority in both houses of parliament does not help the US detente between Washington and Tehran, inaugurated by President Democrat, but always opposed by the opposing political party, which sees in the continuous postponement of the conclusion of negotiations an advantage granted Iran to push the issue, also the Israeli government, is more in line with the Republican Party, has never enjoyed the suspension of sanctions and the conciliatory attitude of Obama and has pressure groups strong enough to restart the sanctions in advance. This decision, however, could cause serious setbacks in the difficult question of the caliphate where Washington and Tehran are de facto allies against Sunni fundamentalists. The help of the Shiite troops was instrumental in more than one occasion and a tightening of relations certainly not facilitate the fight against the Islamic state. These issues have not yet been addressed in the bill of the Iranian Parliament, which speaks of increasing the number of centrifuges capable of enriching uranium beyond 20%, placed in a site 100 kilometers from the capital, and located under a mountain practically not attacked by any military actions, such as those repeatedly threatened by Tel Aviv. It is also expected to resume construction of a heavy water nuclear reactor, the progress of which was blocked thanks to a clause in the Treaty of Geneva. Iran remains firm in its assurance that the goals of its nuclear program is solely for civilian use, despite the fear of a large part of the international community.
