The immigration crisis needs coordinated solutions

The crisis of emigration to Europe registered new records of arrivals. The only since July 2015, speaks of 107,500 immigrants entered the EU, which constitute a large seems the total arrivals of the year estimated at about 340,000 units, a value that has already far exceeded the total of 2014 that was approximately 280.00 arrivals. From now until the end of the year, therefore, the figure is expected to rise again, especially during the summer and remains in the first weeks of autumn. The proportions of migration flows, however, could be widely provided and, therefore, create the conditions for a comprehensive strategy to address the problem. Instead it is left to the management, especially from the humanitarian point of view, only to border countries, especially Greece, Italy and Hungary, which are considered by migrants only landing points in Europe before heading to other destinations, mostly located in weights of northern Europe. The issue is so sensitive, the bordering countries are working primarily for other nations do not cooperate reception of migrants, directed precisely towards these countries. Basically, for the migrants, the countries that make up the border of the European Union, are only a kind of humanitarian corridors, which should allow it to achieve the desired goals, then Greece, Italy and Hungary have substantially taken over a problem not theirs . With this point of view the question of welcoming immigrants and radically changes should require a greater cooperation of the countries of the north with those that make up Europe's borders. For now, the approach has not been like this and, probably, if the local jurisdiction was the countries of northern Europe, this could mean to solutions of the kind practiced by the Hungarians, set in a more repressive humanitarian, contrary to what put in place, among huge difficulties, to Greece and Italy, which have focused on solving the most urgent situations, giving priority to saving human lives, then having to deal with economic and social costs for the direct management of migrants. But the project, which has to be developed with the involvement of the United Nations must have a perspective that knows how to go beyond the emergency only. The outlook can only be an estimate containing an exponential increase in the migratory movement due to various causes, but who need a project almost unit to be at least partially resolved. The incidence of war has certainly raised the number of those fleeing theaters object of military operations, but these conflicts are closely linked with the emergence of terrorism, which is certainly started yesterday. Even those who are called economic migrants, fleeing situations of endemic poverty, which, in many cases, there are situations of famine, often caused not only by climate change, religious exasperation, turned into military radicalism. The inaction of the great powers and international organizations in charge of overseeing these phenomena, is responsible for the lack of a comprehensive plan that goes beyond emergency management, which, among other things, has been made often in a superficial way. In this context, the EU is paying concretely the absence of effective policy coordination and lack of foresight of future scenarios, which are currently experiencing. The bad thing is that it seems that Brussels knows how to draw a lesson from emergency immigration and let the member countries to proceed in order, especially as dictated by the needs internal election. However it must be a contrary attitude, which requires a considerable contribution diplomat, able to involve countries like the US, China and Russia, to resolve the ongoing wars, also with direct interventions and promotes investments that can ensure political and economic stability in places visited by the upheavals that cause migration. It is a process not short, but you need to start as soon as possible and where the United Nations should take on a role in driving as well as coordination.
