Germany seeks an agreement for the government: for itself and for Europe

German politics tries to get out of the stasis caused by the result of the last legislative elections, which prevents the formation of the government. The failure of the attempt to form a coalition between the outgoing Chancellor's party, Angela Merkel, with the liberals and the Greens must be an example of which one must avoid repeating mistakes. In this first phase, formal consultations have not yet been reached, which will be dealt with only if the preliminary talks have a positive outcome. Even if the choice seems obligatory, there are issues, which are of considerable importance, which must be defined and which represent the greatest distances between the Christian Democrats and the Social Democrats. For the latter it is necessary not to repeat the support to a government focused on economic policies of budgetary stiffness towards the European Union. For the Social Democrats this point was an integral part of their electoral program. The leaders of the Social Democracy party do not want to again endorse overly restrictive policies and concentrate government action on internal questions. The pressures of the President of the French Republic on the entry into the German government of the Social Democrats, start from the sharing of the need to put at the center of the action of the new German executive, the European question. The Elysée tenant has been proposing reforms for Europe for a long time, focusing on the interruption of budgetary rigidity to foster development and allow all continental industries, and therefore not just the German ones, to enter into competition globally and, consequently, raise the income of European citizens. These resolutions, albeit with some differences, have long been on the agenda of the Social Democrats, who, in the event of an agreement for the new government, aspire to hold the office of the Ministry of Finance, the crucial place from which to conduct German economic policy. The fears of the Social Democratic party are related to the promise made to the electors during the election campaign, when it was assured that they would not repeat the experience of the great coalition, but the changed political conditions make it necessary to repeat the experience of the previous executive. The problem, in fact, is not only the conduct of the German country, but the need for a stable government in Berlin also for Europe: the situation of German immobility also causes a sort of political paralysis on the continental level, which is not it is possible to endure for a long time in a situation where quick responses to various international situations are more than necessary. Of course, if this time the Social Democratic Party can not maintain a program of growth and even the reduction of inequalities, the negative impact with the electoral body will certainly be irrecoverable. For the French president, however, it is not only necessary the participation of the Social Democrats, but also of Angela Merkel at the head of the government, which must guarantee, with its prestige, the continuation of the collaboration between France and Germany, understood as a double guide continental. Merkel's presence will also serve to assure the proponents of the very numerous budgetary rigidities among the ranks of his party, the control over the new expansive measures in economic matters, with a view to containing the inflationary phenomenon. The conditions for bringing the negotiations to term are those of forming a stable government, which does not fall within the specific case of the political experiment or that it is a minority executive, limited in the important decisions to be taken. Technically, to get to the solution as soon as possible, we will try to get to a starting program set in a few shared points, from which, then, we will develop in more detail the issues in their details and details. The union of the European countries, with the constitution of the German government will be able to start to deal more decisively, besides the economic issues, also of those problems, from the common defense, to the greater sovereignty of Brussels, which will allow to resolve the contingent questions , like the migratory problem, in a fast and fair way, equally dividing the emergencies that will affect the European territory as a whole and no longer on a national basis in relation to the respective conveniences.
