The difficult compromise reached between the British premier and the Labor party in the opposition and passed by a single vote in the London parliament, does not yet resolve the issue of the United Kingdom leaving the European Union. Above all, the need for a new referendum is becoming ever more urgent, now that the population should have a clearer understanding of the consequences of the departure from Brussels. If this latest attempt is successful it is all to be verified and on the continent the distrust is rather high. The Labor leader is inclined towards a form of collaboration with the Union, to avoid the heavier economic consequences, the technical formula is, in fact, a customs union, but this definition will have to be revised with a new name that allows its inclusion in the political declaration, which must be the official document with which the United Kingdom will have to leave the Union. This determination clearly explains how conservatives do not want to provoke skeptical euros and advocates of wider British sovereignty. But these uncertainties denote, that, in addition to the substance, we are looking too much at the form and this means that the uncertainty is still absolute. Moreover, even in the Labor party there is no single direction, the same leader was almost obliged by his MPs to sit down at the negotiating table with the English Premier and the pressures for a new referendum are more and more frequent. This eventuality could also be shared by some conservatives, while at the social level it is an instance of the highest social classes, of large urban centers, of Scotland, which are opposed by the areas of the rural province and the lower classes, which do not they still understand how the worst consequences of the economy will fall primarily on them. The European Union has received with skepticism the new English evolution, which arrives in an abundantly expired time, however, to avoid exit without an agreement, a possibility is left in London to elaborate, by 12 April, a shared solution between the English political forces , which can allow you to postpone the release no later than May 22nd. The date of 12 April is obligatory because it is the last deadline to confirm or not the participation in the European elections. A possible English presence in the European electoral competition is absolutely not conceivable due to the opposition of other European countries, which want to avoid a strengthening of nationalists, populists and all the formations that want to weaken the Union. The will of the European Commission is to avoid exit without agreement, however, President Juncker warned, the Union must be ready for this eventuality, which continues to be considered the most likely after the series of internal failures within the UK . The basic requirements that the United Kingdom, in any case, must ensure the protection of the rights of European citizens, the respect of financial commitments and a solution for the Irish island, capable of ensuring the internal market and not compromising the process of peace. The issue is therefore not over, but is about to embark on a final phase of uncertainty which, on the eve of the European elections, becomes a factor of instability in an electoral competition where the weight of anti-European forces and also of possible external influences (see Russia) constitute of disturbing components of no small importance.
