Macron's considerations on Europe

While waiting to inaugurate the summit of the first seven countries in the world, the French president has highlighted his political vision not only of his country, but of Europe, seen as a possible protagonist of possible future scenarios. The new factors that affect global assets, emerging powers, crisis scenarios and globalization affect the evolution of European civilization. Macron does not clarify if it is conditioned by a central vision of Europe, something that has not been for some time, or if it intends to find a way to find a way to restore centrality to Europe, in a world where the old continent seems to be destined to to be increasingly marginal. In both cases, if the perspective changes, the solutions seem to be identical: first, the crisis of democracy, understood as the effectiveness of the democratic process deriving from the lack of real representativeness, due to the distance of the political class from the real society and to his needs; this crisis derives directly from the profound and growing inequality caused by the imbalances of degenerated capitalism into increasingly unchecked liberalism. The reaction of the electoral body of the various countries presents increasingly similar reactions, which are directed towards anti-democratic movements tending to isolation and towards forms of racism, which are increasingly exasperated. The analysis can be shared, both in identifying symptoms, as a degeneration of societies characterized by a material impoverishment that must be added to an ever higher cultural decrease, favored in recent years by organizations and parties that have used it to their advantage , but, which in the current historical moment, has become an element out of control by these movements, in favor of the parties of the extreme right and which facilitates its proselytizing action. The French president thinks that these elements of contrast are the starting points from which to operate within international organizations, to give back a central role to Europe, as a subject of balance between China and the USA, especially after the presidency of Trump has imposed on the American foreign policy a progressive distancing from the traditional proximity of Washington with the old continent. Macron's intentions seem to be positive, but his claims seem to be vitiated by hypocrisy: the French president comes from the social part that has favored, even from the left, liberalism condemning the middle classes to impoverishment and providing the perception of operating in favor of large financial concentrations. The reality that Macron wants to oppose is that which it has also favored by shifting social balances, stopping the possibilities of growth left confined to those who had certain starting conditions, compressing the rights, especially at work in favor of precariousness and uncertainty useful only for employers of work, which have created an imbalance in the relationship between worker and companies, less and less empowered by their social role to promote profit opportunities in a single sense. These policies were supported by Brussels, which did not hesitate to bring entire nations to their knees to maintain the privileges of the few. The ambition to create a stronger Europe is also a necessity, but it must be supported by a radical change in social policy, which is much talked about but not followed up. The current Italian case, where a party that claims to be left, but has practiced a right-wing policy, similar to that of the French president, has the opportunity to make up for the mistakes made; will be the first real test to be able to demonstrate a change in social policies. It is no coincidence that Italy was cited by the French president as a negative example of a political experiment by a ruling sovereign party. If it is good to underline this aspect, a concrete process is needed that eliminates the factors that have allowed us to gain support for extreme right-wing movements, which have also been an integral part of the policies of the current French executive. So to the speeches they must follow the facts, also to avoid dangerous drifts, like the English one.
