In the EU, democracy is not enough protected
The constitution of the European Union, which has as its ultimate goal the creation of a United States of Europe, is facing increasing difficulties, related to new member countries, which, once passed the severe test input, do not keep the required standards, moreover, without incurring any penalty. The plurality of realities in Europe, representing a mix of high cultural level, consisting of different languages and customs, it should make the assembly of these differences the strength of its existence, taking the best from all of these realities. But beyond the cultural aspects should be no issues common and universally shared about democracy and fundamental rights, which were, wrongly, taken for granted, because conceived in a narrow context to the founding countries. With the enlargement of intensive, which led the EU to get to twenty-seven members, with the twenty-eighth incoming, Croatia, and with the intention to further expand the member countries, looking towards the Balkans, have not been studied in parallel forms that can guarantee the presence of a condition of full democracy, including through sanctions phenomena. It has gotten so, the anomaly Hungarian, which is clearly the flaw in the system. Hungary, where a conservative government has established itself in free elections, is in a dangerous situation of involution for the rules of democracy, with laws that have very strongly censored the press and where the protection of minorities is not assured. The immediate problem is, it is, to enforce the rights that Budapest is denying your country, failing to ensure uniformity with the rest of the EU, but also to prevent this state of affairs will become a precedent that opens the door to similar situations. Brussels should not tolerate that at the center of the continent and within its organization, there is an authoritarian so explicit. The yardstick that had previously been set up to determine the differences between the various states, was, typically, the economic one because there was no need to resort to other means, given a situation where corruption and human rights issues were at a level substantially homogeneous, and now along with the data of the economies of individual states, should be considered a number of other socio-political factors, which recorded substantial differences. The entrance of the eastern states, following the fall of the Iron Curtain imposed by the Soviet Union, has opened up a challenge of great fascination for the Eurocrats, who saw an opportunity to materialize the European Union, practically coincides with the geographic continent . However, there have created appropriate antibodies, which they knew to protect the rights, within the system, has created a situation of danger, which has been transformed from potential to actual. Moreover, the fact that there is a continuous examination of the institutions of the individual states, after joining the EU, applies not only to the states of the young democracy, which are the ones most involved, but must also apply to all others, to avoid drifts even more dangerous, certainly more difficult to occur, but certainly with greater effects in the case of concretization. These forms of collateral, which should be built as soon as possible, they must also cover situations such as that of Cyprus, in the interests of the citizens of that state which incurs in serious danger of a financial nature. Certainly should be coded with greater accuracy the financial rules which should put to an emergency shelter, in order to make the necessary expenditure to fall on those responsible rather than on the community invested problems. One solution would be to slow down or even block, the new entries in the establishment, pending a processing effective legislative able to remedy the situation. The philosophy of enlargement at all costs should also allow for a greater weighting and a greater commitment both in prevention, which in the sanction of these episodes. But the situations of potential hazard concern even states where democratic rights seemed now congealed, and that has been invested by the degeneration of the drives for autonomy is more rooted in reality where the element of local identity that transcends even the national level and not just European. The many cases of racism and xenophobia, which occur daily in Europe, could corrupt, also in the country's oldest democracy, a social fabric heavily compromised by economic crises and therefore potentially very willing to accommodate scenarios undemocratic.
