Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood errors

The Muslim Brotherhood , one of the protagonists movements of the uprising that toppled Mubarak and which has now been outlawed by the government Egyptian military was aware of the political blunders which resulted in the coup of the armed forces and has served on its web page this awareness. Accustomed to a war behind the lines during the Mubarak regime , but of great grip on the population , the members of the Brotherhood, had a distorted view due to the social classes that have helped and influenced , linked to the environment very religious . The defeat of Mubarak was only possible because the army has chosen to remain neutral in the face of a popular uprising , this key element was not understood and is believed to be able to confine a monopoly of force thanks to a popular consensus that as we have seen , was very limited , albeit represented the majority. The resulting mistake was to not attenuate the religious fervor and not accept the criticism that came from the other political parties and the army itself , closing in a state of self that has only been detrimental to a country in need of decisions on economic and non- immobilized by trite sectarian issues . Even after losing the power of this attitude of closure continued with repeated refusals to accept some form of dialogue with the government of the military expression . This stance , in a way, justified by what is considered a military coup , it was a maximalist position that facilitated the legal measures such as the banning of the movement and the imprisonment of the leaders , all the opposite of a more pragmatic approach that would save the country more inaction on the most pressing issues . Taken permanently out of the game now the Muslim Brotherhood has realized that to govern a country requires the cooperation of all political parties and all walks of life, to admit it is already a step forward, but this awareness should not mask an intent to establish a link with the forces of non-denominational judge negatively the great power captured by the military and looking for a new alliance to overthrow him . At this time the governance of Egypt can not be separated from the army and it is through it that the Brotherhood has to establish itself as a political force that can able to show restraint in order to be readmitted into the political arena . This implies renunciation of religious extremism in politics and a significant opening to the acceptance of democratic processes more akin to a Western-style democracy than to a religious type where you want to establish Sharia law with the majority without any sharing.
