The forum in Davos increases its relevance to international issues
The World Economic Forum in Davos seems to take on an importance that goes beyond the usual themes of economy , focusing in particular on the global crisis , but it represents an opportunity for discussion , although unusual in a home , for issues of character of international politics. In particular, after the exclusion from the negotiations on Syria in Geneva, the intervention of the president of Iran Rohani has a very special characteristic for the proposed solution to the Syrian country . Iran has expressed an exit represented by the organization of free and democratic elections , however this proposal , without adequate support from the international community with a commitment even military field , it is destined to remain on the list of good intentions not feasible . The Iranian position reflects an attitude of wait- and also still uncertain about which direction to actually wait on events . The disappointment resulting from the exclusion of the Geneva Summit was masked with an attitude of facade and tended to enhance a neutral and peaceful , that certainly does not reflect the actual and real interests in Tehran, they would prefer the retention of power by Assad , or at least of a current faithful to him . The proposed generic free elections puts it, however , Iran to a new location , far from the excesses of the previous government and that therefore more chances for the opening of an international dialogue on this front also . This does not mean that the results are easy to achieve, Tehran Assad's Syria is a staple in international politics and its difficult to easily give up its influence over Damascus. The evolution of the situation , however, requires a change in all foreign powers in the field, even to Russia, especially in order to not lose all the advantages in relation with Syria in the future. In this sense the force that could take power and a little less convenient to all , except perhaps the Gulf countries , is made up of Sunni fundamentalists , difficult to control and highly destabilizing for the region. This could work in favor of the National Coalition , which could be the least unfavorable , if this is true it will be important for Iran and Russia towards this accreditation strength so as not to lose the positions acquired in the strategic country of Syria, to have long- offs with Assad. These reasons could foster a new and stronger commitment both in Moscow, which Tehran to promote a peaceful transition and especially to open the increasingly urgent humanitarian corridors . An action of this impact would also have positive consequences for Iran in negotiations for the nuclear issue, crediting Tehran as an intermediary for peace can bring concrete results in a conflict increasingly difficult. It is no coincidence Rohani in Davos reiterated the country's intention not to give up peaceful nuclear power , but they have no intention to enter into the strategy of the defense Iranian nuclear weapons. The rest of the armament that is a very sensitive issue to other latitudes , in fact, the Japanese prime minister said he was concerned about the escalation of armaments in the region of Southeast Asia , marked by tension between Beijing , Tokyo and Seoul, and who bears the constant nuclear threat of North Korea . With these issues brought to an agenda informal , outside the purely technical issues on economic issues , the forum in Davos acquires a secondary importance, not even with regard to the issues of an international nature .
