The Afghan Taliban announce the spring offensive

The Afghan Taliban announced a spring offensive, the military operation that, thanks to better weather, Islamic terrorists launched every year against foreign diplomats and, above all, the soldiers of foreign forces still present in the area of Kabul. The Taliban issued a true statement which announced its objective of military bases and facilities of foreign intelligence, but not only, also the structures of political power in the country and its armed forces will be the object of attack, to counter standardization process of the country in a state free from the influence Islamist. The Taliban will not do is to civilian casualties, proclaiming, for their fighters who violate this understanding, the application of sharia. At the moment in the country of Afghanistan were about 12,500 men of the Atlantic Alliance, of which more than 9,000 US, covering, for the most part, the role of trainers of the armed forces and local police. This year, therefore, will be the regular forces in Kabul to be deployed in the front line against the Taliban, no longer have the direct support of foreign forces. The level of preparedness of the Afghan army, there are still doubts, especially on the ability to militarily contain the incursions of the Taliban from the valleys to the border or within the territories of Pakistan, which are the shelters and operational bases of the fundamentalists. Even the side of prevention of the attacks, the task will not be easy without a partnership, is in on the ground that technological, Americans, which, however, should not be missing. Recently, Kabul has been the scene of a suicide bombing which claimed the lives of at least 34 civilians. The Taliban have categorically denied being the authors of the serious incident, claimed, however, by the Islamic state. Some analysts say the presence of the caliphate in Afghanistan is given as unlikely, because the Taliban have no local characteristics such as to justify an alliance with a totalitarian organization as the Islamic state and not even have the need, on the domestic and international, to apply for accreditation as affiliates to the caliphate, as happened to other organizations, such as was the case of Boko Haram. More likely that the attack was committed by groups of Taliban from Pakistan, came into conflict with those of Afghanistan. In Pakistani territory would act fundamentalist groups, which would have required the affiliation to the Islamic state and would thus have carried out the attack to give evidence of their intentions. If this hypothesis is true for Afghanistan could emerge as a dual terrorist threat: the Taliban and the interior of the groups from Pakistan, putting a strain on the viability of democratic institutions. To contain this scenario the current Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, is busy trying to convince the local tribes and the Taliban themselves to embark on a new path of peace, never started with the former president for the binding condition inserted by the negotiators of the Islamic fighters: the complete withdrawal of foreign troops from the country. According to the agreements with the Atlantic Alliance's complete withdrawal should take place by 2016, but the already substantial reduction current could constitute an approach for the opening of negotiations, although the most intransigent factions do not provide the only reduction foreign troops as a sufficient condition! to return to the negotiating table. This opens a period of great uncertainty for the country of Afghanistan to undergo the pressure of Taliban fighters, while institutions have not yet fully entrenched in the social fabric of the country.
