The cyber attack in the US, as global warning

The question of the intrusion computer servers of Sony threatens to escalate, aggravating relations between Washington and Pyongyang. The US has studied the possibility to re-enter North Korea in the list of states that support terrorism. The state hermit, as defined by its state of isolation that was imposed, had been deleted from the list of nations supporters of terrorism, thanks to the promise to open its nuclear sites to international inspectors; this eventuality would subject the country to new sanctions, in a particularly difficult time for the North Korean economy. However, Obama has kept a low tone against the incident, while announcing a proportional response, passing it an act of war to computer vandalism, with the clear intention not to provide opportunity to Pyongyang to exploit the American threats to give vent to the usual rhetoric of the regime. This objective is not reached: North Korea said to be ready for any military confrontation with the United States, including the cybernetic. Pyongyang has rejected the accusations, saying he was alien attack on Sony, but still praising the authors. The North Korean authorities have stated that Obama uses the attack on Sony to discredit the Asian country, which would, by contrast, offered its cooperation, however, refused, to the US authorities to trace the culprits. Actually would emerge precise analogies of cyber attacks conducted against sites in South Korea due no doubt to North Korea. The United States would have required the help of China, in its capacity as sole ally Pyongyang. The whole story summarizes the increased importance that the electronic warfare are taking in a global governed by cybernetics. The statement of US Senator McCain, that defines cyber attacks a new way of waging war is absolutely explanatory scope of the phenomenon. However we are not faced with a novelty: it is time that cyber attacks have become a major means of contrast between adverse powers. Suffice it to recall the Israeli actions allegedly carried out against the control centers of nuclear power plants in Iran or the continuing attacks presumably from China to Western installations. But what is special is the almost total violation of a US site in a way that seemed so easy and the weakness of the first world power against a state, which is more dangerous because of its unpredictability, which for the real capacity to impair the security of another country. With this you do not want to underestimate North Korea, which is still a nuclear power and who gave evidence against Seoul to represent a high danger, however, there should not be playing with Washington. Actually Senator McCain is absolutely right: acts of computer intrusion to the detriment of foreign countries are not only a new form of war, but it can trigger, for this reason, reprisals which may include the use of weapons. You must configure both at the legislative level, which at the strategic level, that the act of piracy has now become a case and a case study as to be caught in acts of war proper, because it can cause, as well as property damage, also victims, both military and civilian. The ability of intrusion in general infrastructure, such as servers that control a network station or air or command centers of power stations, even nuclear disasters can determine without the use of weapons of war. We are facing a weapon with infinite potential because there are infinite computing applications, so there is the problem of the defense of these control centers. It is a problem already clear to military strategists, but it takes more and more importance with the growth of the complexity of the equipment, which goes hand in hand with their vulnerability. In the United States the effects at high level must have been huge if it is true that Washington has even asked for help from Beijing, which has often complained about similar incidents. Perhaps more frightening was the fact that the attack was conducted by a state notoriously unpredictable and perhaps had also been underestimated in its computing capacity. However, we are facing a further element of destabilization of the global system, consisting of the ease of access to these weapons, even if improper, that will have to be evaluated and monitored more closely and the same way as weapons systems, which are often a source of heated discussions between states of conflicting positions.
